  Description :
A good example of a Bagh Naka (Tiger claw) assassin's dagger. These were also used during duels and by thieves. All steel construction with 4 sharp tapering claws and two finger rings. Concealed in the palm of the hand, such a weapon was reputed to be used by the Maharatta leader Shivaji when he killed the general of the army of Bijapur, Afzal Khan. See p.87 G.C. Stone's Glossary for an identical example. 18th Century.
