About Us

Asian Arms was conceived after 11 years of collecting arms and armour from the Indian sub-continent and eastern countries. A passionate collector and researcher, my interest was sparked by the rich and diverse arms and armour of India and the ethnographical arts of North India. My first acquisition of a child’s Talwar sword many years ago was the beginning of what was to become an all absorbing and richly rewarding pastime.

My quest to discover more about the armourer’s art has led me to visit India and UK Museums on numerous occasions where I have been given access to their reserve collections.

To help bring these collections to a wider audience we have a DVD taken of the armoury at Junagargh Fort at Bikaner in India for your viewing pleasure on the site, and we will endeavour to share with you photographic images of the many collections visited during our trips to India over time.

As members of the UK Arms & Armour Society we have helped bring these amazing objects to a wider and appreciative audience through lectures and exhibitions.

Events organised & participated in the past include:

  • Warrior Saints Exhibition – Watford Museum 1999
  • Punjab Heritage Lecture Series – The Victoria & Albert Museum 2002
  • Vaisakhi weapons exhibition – Brent Sikh Centre 2006
  • Harrow Civic Centre weapons exhibition – 2007

  • Interesting and varied weapons & Indo-Islamic and Sikh art
  • Consignment of items that you may wish to sell
